Perguntas frequentes
Can I use this system by hand, or do I need a machine polisher?
All three products can be worked by hand for spot correction, but for full-panel correction — especiallywith Compound 1 — a dual-action (DA) or rotary polisher will give you faster, more consistent resultswith less physical effort. Weekend warriors doing touch-ups can get good results by hand with the rightmicrofiber or foam applicator pad and a bit of extra elbow grease.
Can I skip straight to Polish 2 for a quick one-step correction, or do I always need to start with Compound 1?
Not every car needs the full 3-step system. If your paint only has light swirls, minor oxidation, or that dull "daily driver" look — without deep scratches or heavy defects — Polish 2 paired with an orange (medium) pad makes an excellent one-step polish.
It cuts enough to remove light imperfections while leaving a genuinely reflective, glossy finish in a single pass, saving you time without sacrificing results.
Does polishing/ compounding actually remove clear coat- and is that dangerous ?
Polishing does remove clear coat , but each session typically only removes about 2-5 microns, and since most clear coats run 30-50 microns thick, a car can safely be polished several times over its lifetime.
What is the difference between compound and polish ?
A compound is an aggressive liquid designed to cut the top surface of the paint, while polish is a lighter step that refines and adds gloss after cutting. Compounds are more aggressive and primarily used to remove deep scratches and oxidation, and even when compounding is needed it should be followed by polishing to refine the finish.
